Daily Quote and Reflection:Attitude and Reaction to events

Daily Quote: The remarkable thing is we have a choice every day regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day… I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% how I react to it.” Charles Swindoll

Reflection: I think the key question is whether your attitude the kind that other people want to imitate or do you display an attitude that makes people want to avoid you. Many times we are tired and stress by the many obligations and responsibilities we must carry. Yet we still can choose our reactions to these events and responsibilities–we can be moody, negative or oppositional or we can be fun to be around, enjoying others and happy to be alive. Which one will you choose this Thanksgiving? Have a great holiday and be gentle on yourself and others. Your Coach–The wick

Daily Quote and Reflection: Be aware, accept your feelings and observe your attitude.

Daily quotes and Reflection:

“The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life. Attitude, to me, is more important than facts. It is more important than the past, the education, the money, than circumstances, than failure, than successes, than what other people think or say or do. It’s more important than appearance, giftedness, or skill. It will make or break a company…a church…a home. The remarkable thing is that we have a choice everyday regarding the attitude we embrace for that day. We cannot change our past. We cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, and that it is our attitude. I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% how I react to it. And so it is with you…We are in charge of our attitudes.” Charles Swindoll

Everything can be taken from a man or a woman but one thing: the last of human freedoms to choose one’s attitude in any given set of circumstances, to choose one’s own way. Viktor Frankl. See Self Transcendance  https://thewick.wordpress.com/2009/09/24/

Finding Meaning in Life: A Different Point of View–Victor Frankl’s Self Transcendance

“Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual.”  Victor Frankl

According to  the American Journal of Psychiatry, Dr. Victor Frankl’s work is “perhaps the most significant thinking since Freud and Adler.” Beyond Freud and Adler, Dr. Frankl spells out a very powerful approach to finding meaning in life where happiness is a by product of living a life that does not focus on yourself, money or materialism.
