Poem: Transition by MW Hardwick

Transition: by MW Hardwick

You seem settled in…

Things in life are aligned and okay

Then the phone rings and change bombards you

Moment to moment seems uncertain and unsettling

Transitory effect of certainty is shattered

Emotions of obligation, guilt, shame and love

Shaken-up…Shaken-up…to the point of confusion

Sources of support and caring collapse
Several different thoughts and paths appear

Time passes by and things change again…
Remember you pledge of “fidelity for life”

And keeping promises for…Better or worst…

Which one do you choose?

Now is the moment of truth and action…

Truth to self and action for others

Choose the one to sustain you
So can sustain them. So you can sustain…
