Daily Quote and Reflection: Tao or “the way” for more Effective Time Management

Daily Quote and Reflection:

“The way of nature is unchanging. Not knowing constancy leads to disaster.
Knowing constancy, the mind is open”.  Lao Tsu’s Tao message

“ We are disturbed not by events, but by the perception & importance we give them & hold about them”.  Epictetus

Remember, there are no mistakes, only lessons. Respect others, determine what is important, trust your choices, and everything is possible.” MWH

  • Efficiency is your friend if you are focused on doing the important and right things in life which by the way is called effectiveness.  Don’t put in loads of work, effort and time if the thing you are doing does not have the potential to yield profound results.
  •  Do not clutter your mind. Reduce how much information you take-in—Step back and reflect on the most important “thing” to do right now”
  • Success formula –In work and play effectiveness ( doing the right or most important thing) is a way to become a master of your personal time and energy and yet efficiency ( doing things right) is also an important dimension for consideration.
  • Remember doing the right thing  (effectiveness)  is more important than doing things right (efficiency). But doing them both makes you a more successful as a leader.

Self-Coaching Challenge: Many of us complain that we don’t have enough time to the stuff that is required of us. We all have the same amount of time per week–168 hours. The human mind has the infinite potential on how to spend our limited resource of time, so to be more effective, efficient and happier with your use of time think of one priority you need to do tomorrow and do it. No ifs,and or buts. Just saying so…
