Know thy Self: Relevant Information + Insight = Self-Knowledge

  1. Focus on development and being aware of natural strengths–start with Smart-steps.
  2. Be a teacher not a performer—communicating effectively is a person-to-person art; the heart of communicating and influencing others is in essence the act of caring and understanding the audience needs and expectations.  People want you to succeed as a speaker.  So help the audience get what they need by providing new information, relevant data and facts, insights and they engage them, so they will want to help you succeed.
  3. Fake it till you—make it. Don’t focus on nervousness  such as hands shaking  or dry mouth. Focus on task at hand providing compelling information and meeting people’s expectations.
