Reflection: Most of us spend too much time trying to change bad habits or develop more will power by promising to change things rather than picking a few small things gaining success and accepting the change that comes. Don’t beat yourself up when you slip back into old patterns or fail to make the change you want immediately. The key to personal change is perseverance and being gentle on yourself. Try asking yourself a few questions before you begin your change project: Am I really committed and motivated to make this change? or What will my future-self look like after I have made the change?
