Quote: You do not need to leave your room. Remain sitting at your table and listen.
Do not even listen, simply wait, be quite still and solitary. The world will freely offer itself to you …”
Reflection: When Kaffa says just listen or wait for something to come up and wash over you he seems to be calling for more mindfulness or reflection and less doing, doing and more doing. It also could be a call for a more meditative or spiritual life. The ability to take time out and listen is a powerful way to re-center your life. I have found that this quite time to observe the state of your being is not easy but have many tries I now appreciate the practice. After this quite time I awake more energized and focus on the important things in my life. I recommend you start slow and suspend judgment on whether it is working or not. I believe that meditation is the path to self-realization and tranquility on the inside and better awareness skills on the outside. .Just try it.
